Generalized iterative methods for solving double saddle point problem
In this paper, we develop some stationary iterative schemes in block forms for solving double saddle point problem. To this end, we first generalize the Jacobi iterative method and study its convergence under certain condition. Moreover, using a relaxation parameter, the weighted version of the Jacobi method together with its convergence analysis are considered. Furthermore, we extend a method...
متن کاملCommunication requirements for cooperative problem solving systems
Despite lip service that "most knowledge-based systems are intended to be of assistance to human endeavor and are almost never intended to be autonomous agents", knowledge-based systems research has not been focused enough on the nature and the requirements of cooperative problem solving systems. The emphasis of our work is on creating computer systems to facilitate the cooperation between a hu...

Solving the Rectangle Packing Problem by an Iterative Hybrid Heuristic
In this paper we propose an iterative hybrid heuristic approach consisting of two phases to solve the Rectangle Packing Problem. In the first phase, a strip width value W is fixed and the corresponding Strip Packing Problem is solved using an efficient hybrid GRASP-VNS heuristic. In the second one, a new value W is determined. The above phases are repeated until the stopping condition is met. T...
متن کاملAn iterative method for solving a complex heat transfer problem
Conductive-radiative heat transfer in a scattering and absorbing medium bounded by two reflecting and radiating plane surfaces is considered. A diffusion model for describing heat transfer is examined. The theorems of existence and uniqueness of a solution of this problem are proved. An iterative procedure for solving radiative-conductive heat transfer problem is proposed.
